My beautifully restored Kirby D 80 has been a green bag gaurd away from being complete for a long time. I have had no luck finding one new or used, and I know that Kirby only offers them in black. A NOS or like new one would be great if available. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Mike

Mike,

Good luck searching! When I initially acquired my D80 in January 2014, it didn't have it but later on I found a good green bag guard for it.

Also, the original red guard for my Classic III's bag and Sani Emtor has a rip in it, and Kent Oyler no longer has any of the red ones at his store, so that puts me and you in the same boat.

bag guard

By bag guard you have to be talking about the 2" or so trim band that goes around the outer bag where it attaches to the emptor. I know I have some red ones, and will have to look for the d80 which is like an olive green. They are probably not original Kirby, or could be, I'm not sure because I got them from other vac shops when we bought their inventory when they went out of business. I will check on Monday.
