Nice! :D Whenever we got a new vacuum I used to read the manuals as my 'bedtime' story or read lol. Same thing with brochures and stuff

I like reading manuals as well. You will always finds tips and tricks on how to use the product, like my new Bosch washing machine. If I hadn't have read the manuals, I wouldn't have known I could changed the volume of the beeps and change the default settings on each program. Sounds silly but it is the little things.

The Felix is a fantastic cleaner, pretty much what anyone would want from a cleaner. Other than a short hose (which you can buy an extension for anyway) it is pretty much bang on in terms of everything else, from build quality to performance.

Further to Oli's post, as well as being a top performer, it's one of the most versatile vacuums you can buy. It goes for handheld, to straight suction, to full upright with power nozzle very easily. You can literally vacuum anything with it.

IM puzzled as to why scans of the user manual are essential given that they can be downloaded straight from the SEBO Germany site (and selecting English)? Not much has changed there, I can assure you.

The brochure scan is nice though. I have a ton of the brochures and the one you have shown, Emma indicates the old "Classic" model that is no longer available. A bit like "Burberry" though I was never one for that particular check design. Liked the cream and brown finish though, which is slightly darker than the "Vogue" that replaces it. Also the "Fun" model is a bit of a rare model, now, too.

I adore my Felix but like every vacuum cleaner, it isn't perfect. I would never class it as lightweight unless the ET-1 is swapped around for the suction floor heads or Parquet floor tool - and it is far too big to go hand held.

Interestingly I discovered I could go "hand held" with my SEBO 360 the other day. Just as difficult but possible.

@Sebo_fan

I thought I might as well stick the manual scans on for the sake of it.

To be honest, it wouldn't bother me if it wasn't lite weight. I quite like vacs that have quite a bit of weight to them.

Hi,

Thanks for the brochures and instruction leaflets. These I believe are old versions. Sebo Felix manuals are larger in size and the brochure has been updated a few times to include details of the Ultra Bags.

I assume you have seen the latest 2015 brochure which is basically just a catalogue with details of all machines and no details of the technology behind the machines which is a shame as I think the 'older' brochures really went into a lot of detail. The 2015 has a black Felix Pet with a cat next to it and a lady's trousers behind.

Thanks again ;)

Also ~ No problem. :)

Get yourself along to Euronics or John Lewis stores - you should be able to find a Felix there to play with.

Great thread Emma/vacuumlover. I brought my SEBO Felix 8 years ago from new (Classic model) and love it. It was a choice between the Felix or the X4 but I went with the Felix! It's been one of the best vacuums I've owned (along with my Vorwerk). It's the vacuum cleaner that got me back into bagged vacuums as I was a big fan of bagless. It's still performs like the day I brought it.

Here's a picture of mine (excuse the Christmas decorations in the picture!) taken a while ago.

I love how the bags filled to the top, they are like a brick when full!

Like sebo_fan says go and try a SEBO out see what you think.

In terms of modern machines, I don't think you can go wrong with Sebo's. They're so solid and reliable - certainly more so than anything else on the market at the moment with the exception of Kirby's, but then again, the Kirby's are 8 times more expensive. Sebo have also been known to last as long, if not longer, than Kirby's. There are still Sebo 350's from 1978/79 still in use and X1's from 1991.

Since buying my SM2, my old 360 seems redundant. I know a shop owner who is keen to grab it for a cheap price but I ain't selling it. I still love using it from time to time.

Sebo

My ex partner still has his Sebo which he bought in 1997. Looks a little outdated but has never broken down once.

My partner bought me a Miele upright vacuum when they first came out. The first one we had to take back because it was faulty, and the second one fell apart. The bag full indicator kept on falling out, and other minor niggles.

I do have an x4 in the loft. I find Sebo to be very well made.

Cheers.

Paul

Thank you Emma.

Your welcome...thought I'd post a few pictures of my SEBO Felix to view. Colour scheme looks dated on mine when you see the others. I nearly picked the Fun model when I got mine! That's was orange in colour!

I hope you manage to get a SEBO in the future, and try one out too.

Like the new Felix brochure blakaeg, not so much in depth detail as before. Wonder what the other brochures look like for the other models. Might have to get SEBO to send me some!

Will agree there with Turbo500 SEBO are so reliable and well built. I've had my Felix 8 years this year and still going strong. I'd have another one again, would love to add an X series along with my Felix!

On one of the Vacuumland threads, I read that the exhaust blowing out of the fabric filtre can get quite hot and thus making the Felix quite uncomfortable to use as a portable canister with the shoulder strap. Do users find this to be true?

turbo500's profile picture

That is true, but it only really applied when the cleaner was used constantly on full power, which wasn't needed most of the time.

The new 700w Eco Felix barely generates any heat at all, so the current models are much nicer to use in that regard.

Post# 329591 , Reply# 44   7/18/2015 at 18:19 (3,198 days old) by vacuumlover (UK)

If I do decide to get one, the heat won't be a problem for me as personally I prefer to use a separate machine. In other words, I would prefer to use a Henry for above floor cleaning.

Turbo500 is spot on you only notice the heat on full power which you don't need it on that setting all the time. I noticed with my Felix since using the new synthetic bags you don't need the power as high in general.

I've sampled the new 700 watt Eco Felix and there is no noticeable heat coming from the machine even on full power.

Also the Felix doesn't need to have full power applied because of the ET-1 power nozzle. Same with the K3 Premium, D4 cylinders.
