I just saw this listing on eBay for what looks to be a brush roll for either a Hoover Model 102 or the Baby 103. If anyone has either of these machines, it might be worth checking into this part. It looks like it's seen some use, but still...

Yea, that's what Hoover called their type 1 brushroll. 102, 105, possibly the 103- I don't have that model. My brother has been playing around with a spare brush roll trying to rebristle it. It is definitely a learning curve. The horsehair bristle is wrapped in metal wire and hammered into the brush. The metal wire "o" ring gets flattened and comes out each hole on the sides. He has done part of the brush, but has spent a couple hours already at it.
