I just got an email from Hoover about the Hoover Air Lift Deluxe! It looks awesome! It has a 40 foot cord, an onboard turbo brush, an onboard pivoting dusting brush. And it lifts away! I think it looks awesome! It's going to be available in September

It is obvious that it is Hoover's answer to the Shark Rotator lift away. It even looks pretty similar. Shark has taken quite a share out of the market and Hoover wants in on it.

The cyclones are very Dysonesque. Maybe they will be more efficient than the cyclones on the Air Steerable. The ones on the Air Steerable aren't as bad as some of the other multi cyclonic vacuums I have, but they still pass a lot of dust and hair onto the filter.

I am very anxious to get this when it comes out so I can compare it with my Air Steerable, and Dyson DC65.

I have never seen the Shark Rotator Lift Away in person. Only on the infomercials that are on every other channel on cable. The one feature they have is to be able to lift off the main body, which lessens the profile of the vacuum, and the brush and handle ass'y is able to continue to run, allowing you to get under low profile furniture etc. In order for this to happen with the cord coming out of the main body, or the lift off, as seen in the photo of the Hoover cleaning stairs, you would have to have a current (A.C. voltage) carrying hose going to the brush and handle ass'y. It is not clear from the 7 photos if this Hoover has that capability. It could be a version of the Bissell Lift Off where you just pull the main body off and it turns into a canister, or portable. Lets hope the brush is still powered. By the way, the 5 year warranty is a nightmare for service centers like my company. At least the Hoover Platinum carpet cleaners are almost done for warranty - way over engineered.
