Hi, Last week I was contacted by a member of the pubic wanting information on the Electrolux 345 Automatic as he had one that was in the box unused. After a phone call or two and asking him for various pictures he decided to sell it to me.... Since this was the first model vacuum cleaner that started my interest I thought it would be a good example to add to my museum display/collection. So with a quick drive I went over to collect it...
I got around today to taking pictures. So I thought I'd share them on here as it's not every day you come across a unused vacuum cleaner like this from 35 years ago.

what a great machine, congratulations for this finding. I remember well when those Electrolux vacuums were new. They were on an expensive level and had a great quality. A long lasting swedish quality product.
We used to have the "Volta Model U155" canister vacuum, it was an indestructible vacuum cleaner. And yes, it would be interesting to know the story about your unused Electrolux! Why was it bought and why was it never used then...

Hey James - Great find. And even with the hook to hang it up. You don't see those often.
Hi AJ - would you have any pictures of the U155 with the parts? I have one (They were also sold in Canada) but don't have the parts with it. Only the hose. Hi Gary - The European Electrolux's came with a single long wand (about 30")and the handgrip on the hose was considerably longer (roughly 12") than ours. |

I asked the guy I got it off how he came across it. He said he found it in the loft/attic and that a old lady lived in the house previously before he moved in...
Oh Doug. I e-mailed you last week as I was contacted by another member of the public who had something that might of interested you as your a big Goblin fan. Did you get the e-mail ok?

@Collector2
Unfortunately I don't have any other pictures. I took this on from hanger.ch webpage. the original parts used to be exactely the same as you see for the electrolux 310 or 345. we had to replace the hose and the substitute came in plastic in a dark gray striation hose, black handle and black nozzles. |

I am always amazed that the guys in the USA seem to always find unused machines from 30 to 40 years ago.
Its nice to see it happens in the UK too now if only it would happen here. Congrads on your find James It looks awesome and is one of the machines I will need to find to complete my Electrolux collection one day. They were never sold in Sa we had our own design models Namly the sp 747 in white and brown and the s1000 with a white top |
