When I browsed a download of a Kirby service manual from the sixties, I saw a page that illustrated some rare and discontinued attachments. Amongst them were a special crevice tool or (radiator tool)which is possibly 36" long; it was the time when Kirby offered the wider crevice tool. Another was the longer straight extention tube. These may have been offered as special attachments during production of the early 500-series. How easy are these to find? Or are they "as scarce as hen's teeth".

Are you talking about the list of Obsolete parts?
The 36inch Straight Extension Tube part # S2245
The 36inch Radiator Tool part # S2265

These were offered in the 1930's, maybe into the 1940's

Ray,

These were all still offered as late as 1975 as seen here.
