Very nice vacuum....looks unused. Is the rug nozzle both a vibra beat and a regular rug nozzle which is why there is not a regular Eureka rug nozzle? I have the Empress II which came with both nozzles.

Indeed, this Empress came with Eureka's attempt at combining a Vibra-Beat with a regular carpet nozzle. If you look closely at the nozzle, you'll see a dial on the front to switch from Vibra-Clean to regular clean. I guess the concept did not work well in reality, as we never saw this dual-purpose tool ever again.

The original eBay listing showed the hose in its original plastic packaging, so this really was a never-used, new in box vacuum.

I'm curious as to how well it has survived. Is the rubber in the hose still good, or does the hose leak? Do the rubber Vibra-Beat beads stick together? And what about the cord reel...does that internal metal spring work after 50 years? Would love to see a video! :-)

Such a cool, sleek, no-nonsense design...

To EurekaPrince....

It is absolutely like new. The hose is not stiff and is 100% sealed!! Hard to believe, but I was pleasantly surprised. The cord still looks and feels new, and the winder works exactly as it should. The vibra beat nozzle is also perfect. Truly like a brand new machine that has just been cocooned. I will make a video soon!

All I've got to say is that Empress is EM-pressive. Sorry, that pun was just too juicy to resist.
