I was at work looking for a walker in one of the supply rooms on my floor and I found a Linhaus vacuum hiding behind a cart with reams of paper on it, a bunch of boxes and wheel chairs. I don't know how long we've had as i've never seen it out but it looks Brand new! It is a Lindhaus Activa 30. The top says " Italian Design, Hospital Filtration up to HEPA. It can also be used as a dry cleaning system!!

Why it's not being used...

On closer inspection, I found that it was clogged at the botton where the wand fits into the base. The clog is that grey dot near the bottom. I took these pictures with a Polaroid camera we use for taking pix of wounds and bedsores, yucky stuff. And notice the upholstery nozzle is missing. The crevice tool is still in place though.

Instruction manual!

The instruction manual was still inside the bag compartment. The bag of course is new and not yet filled due to the clog. The red thing is the piece you place over the suction inlet at the rear of the brushroll to close off the suction in order to grind in dry carpet cleaning powder into carpeting. It too was inside the bag door with the instruction manual!

But Daddy! I want a Oompa Loompa!

Er, I want a Lindhaus! I want one NOW! Now to find a way to get this off Hospital property and not get fired getting caught doing so. LOL!! I wouldn't do that of course but it's mighty tempting!! I'm going to unclog it next time i'm at work and run it through the halls to see how it works. In the meantime its hiding in the corner behind a covered cart and some boxes!

Those are great vacuums but clog up pretty easily. Just give me a direct - air Sanitaire or at the very least a Pro-Team ProForce.

Oh geeze I can see it now...
In other news: A nurse was fired today after it was revealed he attempted to steal a vacuum cleaner from the local hospital by wrapping it in a blanket and covered sheet and wheeling it out to the parking lot on a gurney. LOL

Did you check for a pulse??? What about blood pressure???

Lindhaus builds a good upright. I would tend to shy away from the single motor Activa. Apparently the clutching system can be problematic, their two motor design is the one to go with. I have a healthcare pro hepa, it's ok, I must admit, I am biased towards canisters.

Always good to see more Canadians coming in. Not that long ago seemed like just me. Must be 6 or 7 now. I left Calgary almost two years ago now come this summer. Found some good stuff there though.
