Here is the Handi-way I purchased on Ebay on few weeks ago. I finally got around to servicing it and installing a new power nozzle, hose and cord. The powerhead is made in England. I had 2 that I obtained recently from a former vac shop.

The....

Powernozzle. It fluffs the nap and seems to deep clean very well.

Ye Gods!

I had one of those!!! In white and yellow stripe!!!! I thought I'd never see another one! Some mice got in it and utterly destroyed it by pissing in it! Rusted clean through the chassis. I'm pretty sure they're not common, and they take an odd bag, as well. I never saw what the power nozel was supposed to be like. Nice to see another one.

Made by OSPREY?????? Ueeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuughh!!!!!

I see that the power head is made by OSPREY!

I cannot comment on the quality f the power head, I do know that OSPREY used to produce pattern shells and parts for the Hoover Junior and Senior (Convertible) range here in the UK. Their replacement hood for the Junior 13** series machines were just about the most godawful things you could imagine. VEry poor fitting, a hybrid bewteen the 1334 and 1346 in style, with NAAAAASTY plastics. They even as far as I am aware produce a replacement handle and pole produced in plastic which was little more durable than butter!

I do hope that the powerhead (which looks to be their own design) is better built and higher quality than there pattern parts.

The Handiway is a fine looking machine however, very retro. How old is this?

Happy hoovering,

Clark.

To me it looks a lot like a Royal Powertank or Pony Tank. Makes me wonder if Royal might have sold the design after they stopped making them?
