It "was" the best cleaning model Dyson made. The new Cinetic Big Ball has a completely different brush bar and soleplate. The new brush BEATS the carpets like an old Hoover. You can feel it under your feet, from a yard or more away. The new soleplate has no cord guard lines, so the brush cleans straight across the width. Check one out.
Good video by the way. You have a nice voice and speak so everyone understands you. Great job. |

I picked one of these up at BB&B for $250 out the door last week, thanks to one of their 20% off coupons during the nationwide Dyson sale. The brushbar in this model is identical to the new Cinetic upright (I own both), but the Cinetic has a soft squeegee along the back of the soleplate that this one does not. Performance between the two are identical, but the 2015 Multi-floor is lighter and nimbler. I like both, but don't trust the Cinetic and its lack of a pre-filter. This one will still pull dust through the motor after emptying, but will still protect the motor better over the years. With their gap-free brushrolls (Just the belt notch), they both leave beautiful carpeting lines, and are a huge improvement for Dyson. The Cinetic is quieter than the new Multi-floor, but that could be because the dual hepa exhaust filters muffle the motor more.
In my opinion, no one can match Dyson's kickass quick hose conversion and bare floor cleaning abilities. They both seal to my laminate flooring, and the ball maneuverability disappears, but the incredible performance is worth it. The DC17 still cleans carpets better, and despite their claims they haven't topped it yet for carpet cleaning. Both models are worlds better than the disappointing DC25 and the US DC40. User-friendly and fun machines! Here's the Multi-floor along with the V6 Absolute. The V6 Absolute is the best cordless vacuum I've ever used, and another home run for Dyson. It's not perfect (both filters fall off way too easily), but definitely in its own league for cordless. I found mine new for $250 on Craigslist, so don't be afraid to hunt down a bargain!

The new models have better airflow, but the agitation is not as aggressive as the insane DC17. The DC17 still had surprisingly good airflow and sealed nicely to carpets. You Dyson fans across the pond missed out on a model you'd still be gushing over haha.
Although the DC17 does a very good job for an upright on bare floors, the new Dysons hard floor performance is much better. They're also a lot less bulky (the DC17 is enormous, but the great attachments help it get into places the large cleaner head cannot). |

I WANT to import a nice Dyson DC17 and potentially a DC28 from America or Canada! |
