While I was cleaning today the power nozzle kept shutting off and I would have to swivel the hose to get it to come back on. Eventually it wouldn't come on anymore. I thought the contacts might be dirty but when I opened up the handle it seemed like there was a bigger problem. Can anyone here tell me how how I can fix this?

Were the two metal prongs bent like that to begin with? Bend them back and reassemble?

I bent the metal contacts on the circuit board back into place. I'm just not sure how to connect the wire back onto the metal contact ring.
