Hey Cleaningbuff...

I went digging through a vacuum store today and I found a Silverado Special. I took the cord and halo off it and they are in great shape. If you still need them, send me an e-mail and they are yours. My e-mail is xtrmfisher@hotmail.com.

:-)

Complete Set

I was finally able to find a gray PN-4 in decent enough shape to complete my Silverado Special. Here is a picture mine. I would love to see a picture of yours once you get the cord and make yours complete too!

This Lux uses a unique cord end and halo or an optional cord winder. They are a bit scarce but you may find one in a vac shop somewhere. I will post a pic of what mine looks like tonight.

Hey Joel, I found a cord and halo for the 1453 that I mailed Cleaningbuff.

Well, ya learn something new every day. I did not know there was an optional cord winder for this model, although it does not surprise me since it's been the case for nearly every other economy model. I've just never seen one!

Hey Logan, glad you had one to send him. Here is a couple of pics of mine with the manual cord winder to show the difference between the two.

And the other with the winder and cord removed. I was always surprised that this economy model didn't sell in higher numbers like the L before it. It is a hell of a nice machine and I can't wait to tear this one down and service it and clean it up.

I kind of like your halo style better than the cord winder. As usual, I think the cord winder makes the vacuum look like it has a heavy "butt" or as I like to say "junk in the trunk!" lol
