Certainly a "one of a kind" machine, and I really like how it looks......HOWEVER it will take someone with deeper pockets than myself to own that machine!

It is cool but...

Looks like somebody got carried away with the black spray paint. The screen printing on the handle label looks pretty legit though. But at $600, as my grandpa would say, "He sure is proud of it."

Listing says make offer :) as everything has to start somewhere.

P.S., It is not spray paint as spray paint does not cover parts like that

The Kirby was certainly used for a while by someone, note the condition of the front wheels and how scuffed they are. Wonder why the person who rebuilt it didn't use new Front Wheels? It's very noticeable. Nice vacuum, hope a collector gets it.

Here's another - but a Legend.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/121649010444...

So were these a legitimate product from/by Kirby? Or are these being made this way now, after the fact? The decals look pretty legit from the picture, but those wouldn't be too hard to make in this day and age. Either way they're sharp looking machines, but I've only ever known of the gold plated machines coming from the factory.

It doesn't make sense. Scuffed up wheels and a new white fan (the fan was not available at the time of the Legend) make it seem like someone with a can of paint and new decals (which are not hard to find). The bag is possible to have silk screening done on.

The odd thing is: Kirby had the gold plated machines (Tradition and Heritage) for their top dealers, I know because I have both models in gold. The black is what's throwing me off, added to the fact that the bag on the black classic III and the Legend are identical. Leading me to believe it might not be genuine Kirby - why wouldn't they have changed the graphic in ten years between the black Classic III and the Legend?

They've also painted over the serial number.

Produced by Kirby this seller has powder coated and the graphics are done by him .

I must say besides the wheels being so scuffed everything else looks pretty good .
I would buy one but not at those prices .

I have a few extra Legends lying around . Mmmmm Their is a powedercoating company nextdoor to my vacuum Factory and my graphics guy is already making me a new bag for my 505 Soooo I might just make one myself for fun.

We cant get new wheels for machines older that a g6 here in Sa so I will have to stick to grinding them down and repolishing them.
