I picked up this Compact vacuum at the thrift store for $10.00. Beings the powerhead is blue is this considered rare? The vacuums' model number is a C-9.

rare? no. they made 3 versions with powerheads. however, if its in decent shape and the powerhead motor isnt burned up, ill pay you for it plus shipping. ive been looking for one of those for some time.

The C-9 was one of the last models called "Compact". It was also sold in vacuum cleaner shops since the Tri-Star (red model - 2 speed motor) was sold by door to door salesmen. That is a decent example. The very last Compact used an Interstate Built Power Nozzle.

It needs a new PN motor. Will a new Eureka Rotomatic PN motor fit this?

If your power nozzle is the same as Pictured (made by Eureka for Compact), then yes, the Eureka Replacement Power Nozzle motor (long shaft) will fit.

Yes, It is the same.

It's just a different color. Will this motor fit a Rainbow D2 PN? My D2 may need a new PN motor as well. That one is also a Eureka powerhead.

So did the C-80-2 have the interstate power nozzle?

Hey Phillip! I have a C-80-2 and mine has the Eureka powernozzle. I found a new old stock Eureka VGII brushroll for it and it's amazing!

Will a Rainbow R1650/R2800/R4375 PN motor (thick shaft) fit that Compact PN?
