After the ridiculous amount of negativity on an earlier thread that's best left where it is, it seemed appropriate to counter act that with a nice great big dollop of positivity. So here's a wee celebration for Roger and his video's in the form of Ibaisiac's greatest hits.

So here goes, the top 10 most popular video's from Roger's channel.

10. the Vax Rapide Ultra 2, 42,894 views

/>
9. the Numatic Hetty HET200A unboxing, 44,340 views

/>
8. the Vax Air3 Max, 47,547, views

/>
7. the Numatic Hetty HET200A demonstration, 47,812 views

/>
6. the Vax 6131 Multivax, 50,356 views

and into the top 5....

5. the second appearance of the Vax Rapide Ultra 2, 55,747 views

/>
4. an interesting one...one of few vs. videos. The Morphy Richards complete clean vs. The Henry micro, 77,597 views

/>
3. no surprises here, the Dyson DC25 Multi Floor demo, 80,332 views

/>
2. another Numatic appearance, the George GVE370 demo, 112,393 views

/>
Well, it seems people really love Vax and Numatic machines. But what will be number 1?

I agree too, Chris...

...that credit needs to be given to Rodger. I know that I love my vacuum cleaners and applinaces, have the ability to purchase appliances as and when I need them, but the lengths Rodger has gone to to purchase so many vacuums, and bother to share every drop of unboxing with us is splendid. I'll say now that I can rarely be bothered to film any appliance on the best of days, let alone being unwrapped.

Rodger, in my honest opinion, has gone to lengths to build up a channel and collection that he has, and I appreicate it just as much as he does. I think it's great! I don't think a single of his videos have gone unwatched by me.

Chris

In at #1 is an absolute classic, but not a demonstration by Roger himself (unless there's something he's not telling us!). A whopping 142,612 views!

The original instore Hoover demonstration video of the (now rather rare) Aquatronic.

A huge well done and thank you to Roger for his dedication to his YouTube channel. The numbers speak for themselves really. Bravo, Roger, and keep it up.

Certainly looking forward to what you have up your sleeve in the future :)

Whoops...

...I spelt Roger with a d in the middle how a friend spells his name (Don't ask why).

Sorry!

Thank you very much Chris, I am touched, ooh err missus.😄

They are my 10 most popular videos, but probably not among my best or my personal favourites, but your kind gesture has given me the idea of adding a new playlist featuring my top 10 favourites.

I will have to put my thinking cap on and select my favourites from the several hundred on my channel. I hope by chosing my favourites doesn't make anyone accuse me of being vain😝 No, I won't go there. As that popular group Steps would sing, "Better Best Forgotten".

Should we perhaps rename this thread "Ibaisiac: Gold - Greatest Hits"?

My favourite Ibaisaic would have to be...

His 1980s collection videos to his pen pal! I love his modern stuff as well, but those older ones were the most interesting, and although Roger's lost his hair, he's never lost his classic charm!

Definitely liked the Sebo Felix review. Of course you don't really need to do this but would be cool if you got the eco one.

There is no one else on Youtube that reviews carpet cleaning products like Roger. You are calm, well presented, patient and very informative. You actually know what you are on about. They are just very good videos and they are getting a lot more recognition now. Even those who are not vacuum enthusiasts appreciate Rogers videos because not only do you give your highly regarded opinion about them, but you also give hints and tips, and explain how they work and how to use them.

Just ignore the BS other people are saying about you or your videos either on here or on social media. It is jealousy, because no other channel has the amount of subscribers or views by only talking about vacuum cleaners ! :D

This is a great thread what a great idea Chris top 10 of Rogers video's. I love watching your video's on YouTube Roger. Your a credit to the vacuum industry to other vacuum enthusiasts and the general public on your independent reviews and insights into the many vacuum cleaners you have filmed. They are a pleasure to watch and for the general public an eduction into the insight of the many different vacuum cleaners out there to buy. Look forward to seeing future video's on your YouTube channel Roger. Your a true independent, honest vacuum reviewer and I'm honoured to be able to watch your reviews like so many others.

The Miele Universal Upright

sleepdoc's profile picture
Could I please add this? The reason is that this Miele is underappreciated, undermarketed, and underestimated. This vacuum cleaner will do it all, and the video I've attached is the only one in the world that I know of that actually demonstrates its capabilities. Even in Miele's own literature, this vacuum is relegated the end of the brochure/magazine and merits only a few pages, compared to the numerous pages devoted to other series. They also don't show the hose kit, which I think is the real transformer of this machine. So, watch all 43 minutes of this review, which I have screen for vanity and found none, to learn more than anyone else, including Miele itself, will every show you about a low-cost, high-performance Miele Universal Upright.

Just so you are aware, here in North America, there is no accessory hose offered for the Miele Quickstep. If it WAS offered in North America at any point in time, then Miele must have recently discontinued it. I was looking for a new upright recently & had considered the Miele Quickstep due to Roger's video showing the hose & how it transforms into a portable canister. The hose not being available was a MAJOR deal-breaker for me & chose something else instead. The Quickstep does come with an upholstery tool & crevice tool, however, that has a holder on the wand & attaches in place of the rug/floor nozzle or powerhead.

The talking sensotronic is my favourite!

Closely followed by the 3 part epic Aquamaster. I'd have found it hard to break it's virginity but you did it well!

Is it sad to say I wait until swmbo and Eva are in bed, fire up the chrome cast and queue a few of your views up every now and again?

The hose being unavailable is an incorrect statement. I have ordered them from Miele as recently as this morning.

I posted the wrong link. But, since too much time has passed to edit my post, go ahead and read the article on the link. It's very worth reading.

What was the part number for the hose then, please? I called around to quite a few Miele dealers, including one in New York City, who did indeed tell me it had been discontinued. Even if I don't choose to run out & buy one, it might be helpful to post the part number here, in case anyone else does want to buy the hose for their cleaner & runs into the same brick wall I did.

I was told by the Territory Manager for St. Louis, as well as Andy Weter, that this indeed still exists and is available for order. BTW, its not being available woudl be a deal-breaker for me, as well. They don't advertise it well, and I also had thought it had been discontinued, but it's still around. I'll report back when I actually get the one I ordered yesterday.
