The Kirby Company Web Page now shows the Avalir. In addition, the Avalir Manual is available in the manual section.

I was surprised to find the regular floor buffer nozzle missing from the manual and the page. Yet it was shown on the brochure (seen below) that had been posted on the Avalir thread back in October when the new model was first unveiled.

Does anyone know what happened to the floor buffer? Will it no longer be available?

I think Kirby is still building their website for the Avalir. If you click on some links, it still shows the Sentria II. I am sure they are available.

Buffer

I just got an Avalir, and it came with an Avalir-specific buffer.

Page 50 of the manual posted on line describes the use of the Hard Floor Pad not the Floor Buffer.

The hard floor pad attaches to the bottom of the regular rug nozzle and is used with the belt lifer in the off position so that the Kirby is functioning as a straight suction cleaner. This is not the motorized Floor Buffing Nozzle I'm talking about.

The motorized Floor Buffing Nozzle attaches to the power plant =in place of= the rug nozzle. In the picture above it is shown behind the Hard Floor Pad. This attachment has been traditional with Kirby for over 60 years. But, I do not see it featured anywhere in the Avalir manual that is available online or anywhere else on the Kirby web page.

I do hope that it will in fact be available for the Avalir and that it is just a matter of the web site not being finished yet. But it seems odd to me that they would publish a manual for the Avalir and not include the Floor Buffer if they intended to make them available. Or perhaps there will be a separate manual for the Floor Buffer.

Jeschbac,
Was the buffer you got with your Avalir a completely separate unit/nozzle or part of the shampoo/hard floor cleaning system?
