Challenge was a name used by a catalouge company. The Co-Op wording was "Exclusive". |

Hi AJ, a warm welcome from the UK, never seen that colourway even as an exclusive, was done in the turquoise green colourway as the Hoover Junior, and as we all know the Hoover Colour Palette was very extensive across all sectors of appliances and countries of production so not saying you may find one abroad!!
This was my Nans 2nd vac, the local Electricity Board had one on special offer in 1973 for £27 guineas and included the tools as well, was such a good offer 3 other Aunties went and bought the same model!! CLICK HERE TO GO TO chestermikeuk's LINK |

Complete with tools fitted, a quadraflex hose, extension tube, dusting brush and crevice tool. Not forgetting the adaptor loops onto the belt, turning the handle lifts the belt off the pulley, which ironically I and all the people I know that had then never did - always seemed quicker to pull the belt off and avoid stretching it!!

Hey guys thanks for your answers. I know the junior 1346 in this color. I remember when I was about 7 or 8 years old (1980) a friens mum used to clean some neighbour appartements and I saw her once with this junior in that color but also with a head light (so it must have been a 1354A model, not a 1346). To bad I left my childhood long time ago behind me, otherwize I would have ask her where she got her Hoover ;)
@chestermikeuk thanks for the images. you have a great collection and I love looking through your photos on flickr! I see you're also a fan of Swiss V-Zug washing machines. They're good, I have a V-Zug Adora S in our househol too! |
