Quick question

suctionselector's profile picture

Can I ask, what are these people doing on YouTube that makes them so 'famous'? Because to me it appears that all they are doing is talking to a computer.

That statement worries me.  It is one thing having a "role model" but to suggest that you will do something just because they do really says to me that you need to draw a line and live your own life, your own way.

I completely agree Jacob, but sadly some of these people are technically "famous" - for doing just that...

Well

suctionselector's profile picture

Well Jamie I suppose it brings us back to when someone was famous for a good reason, for a talent, or for scientific purposes that effect real people.

However, as proved in many ways that it doesn't take much to be famous nowadays, just look at anyone on those reality shows on television. Ten minutes of emotional sob stories and the next thing you know they are multi millionaires.  There's even people who are famous for being on state benefits! That's why I rarely watch television now.

It does sound like I'm ranting a bit but I'm sure its not just me and Jamie who feel this way...

What I say is if someone wins X Factor or Britain's Got Talent and make millions then good luck to them :-)

Parwaz,

I know how much you just love up Dysons! Coincidently, I'm watching Shiner (early 2000s) on TV. There is a DC04 Absolute in the background. Thought you might like it...

That is a different story, although I am not a fan of such shows nor the people on them, they have at least gone out and done something worthy of being so called "famous".

In my opinion to be famous you have to either have done something notable in history or have a talent...  People on those reality shows I refuse to watch have neither I'm afraid, other than the power of ruining the minds of our young people who look up to them.

Parwaz, answer to ur question, I have a Dyson DC24 and DC35 which I have put on YouTube in the past. I also have an 8 year old Sebo Felix Classic which is in between myself and my friend who has it most of the time & always reuses the bag despite me telling her not to. The Felix is my favourite from all apart from the heat of the exhaust in warm weather. Tried out a Felix Rosso Eco and loved it. It was quiet, didn't run as hot and the cleanerhead was excellent on the carpet and vacuuming under my low bed. That's a new gift to myself later this year perhaps.

On the subject

suctionselector's profile picture

On the subject of vacuum's on TV, I thought I'd show you these.

I was watching some episodes of Brookside the other day on YouTube, and I saw these two being used, so I screen-shotted them and here they are for you to see.

Hmm

suctionselector's profile picture

I wasn't sure but the Dyson logo was also covered up and the sound was from a cylinder. I noticed it happened a few times in Brookside. Perhaps switching the machine on on set messed up with the recording equipment, and therefore may have added it in post production.

UPDATE:
PVP (Prank vs Prank) or BFvsGF have replaced their Eureka the boss smart vac with a pink Dyson DC41 or DC65 :D

Also, Kim Chapman and Tanya Burr have a Dyson DC41 Animal Mk2
