I am wondering if shop vacuums and small cordless and corded hand model vacuums can be included in your total number of collected vacuums....?

Thanks for any responses.

MM that's a puzzling request. Im sure many people do include them in the number of their collections. I can't see why they wouldn't, but would that also include various, even smaller vacuums like those novelty ones for cleaning a computer keyboard?

If it says vacuum cleaner on the box, then I include it. I don't count novelty or toy vacuum cleaners.

I wouldn't see why not.

Thanks guys....I have probably about 12-13 conventional upright vacuums, but they are probably outnumbered by my shop vacuums. I will not include my tiny cordless bugsucker vacuum, however.

I'd say so!

They still have the same purpose: pick up dust and dirt. I'm not a big hand vac or shop vac collector myself. I have a cordless Dirt Devil hand vac, an Antique G.E hand vac and an eight gallon shop vac. That's all I need. The only other hand vac I would want would be an OLD one.

I only really include the ones that are upright and cylinder.

Why not? especially something multifunctional like the Dyson digital slims whch are something new. As long as they are useful for vacuuming I would say so IMHO :)

I count my 2 hand vacs but don't count my carpet cleaners or floormate

I am going to be counting my two upright carpet cleaners, a Hoover Steamvac and a Bissell Quicksteamer Powerbrush. PLUS my 1991 vintage Bissell canister PowerBrush Plus carpet cleaner. Stick vacs...nope on those. Hand vacs, maybe.

I see nothing wrong with including those, after all, they are still vacuums. I include my wet dry vacs in my total count, I have 8 of them.

They all count

I count them all--Kirby uprights (4), Electrolux canisters (2), Royal handhelds (2), Dayton shop vac (1). They all suck up dirt, so they're all vacuum cleaners.

What about floor polishers like my Electrolux B8?
