One of my friends is really into pinterest. One day I was looking on there at the vintage vacuums and I saw this unique wood grain tank machine called a starmaster. It looked too be made of bakolite. It was really attractive looking indeed. if anyone knows about it I would be interested to know. thanks Bill

Based on your description of this machine, I did a quick internet search and bing photos has some real nice photos of a vacuum that fits your description. If its the same machine, it seems to be a German made vacuum. The one I saw sold on eBay back in June of 2012 for somewhere around $125.00. Not a ton to go on, but at least its a start! Hope this helps some!

Steve

Nice machine! It looks like a Electrolux XX or Canadian model
