So, I was bringing a cleaner down from the warehouse for a customer, and noticed I had a couple of new vacuums waiting for me, one being the Vax Cordless Lift. Doesn't surprise me, vax have already been in to put pos in place so the actual machine was imminent.
I'm not a vax lover, I'm more towards Dyson, but my parents raised no liars, and I must say, I'm impressed.
Easy to assemble once I managed to pull it from the box, loads of film protecting the plastic. Nice, I love unboxing!
Comes with two batteries and one charger as the standard cordless. Standard combination crevice, but also, it comes with a flexible dusting tool, which pivots in two places, so you can use it up high.
The machine itself feel feels sturdy, and steers easily. The machine feels very powerful in terms of brushroll as it will pull you forward. Like the original of course, it can be turned off. But even so, it managed to pull muck from our store carpet early on. A nice little addition is a built in light underneath the battery slot.
The liftaway is easy to use. Just a push of the button and the whole motor/bin assembly comes off. I had a task which involved scraping some old sticky tape, which the Lift effortlessly picked up. I noticed the suction wasn't amazingly strong, but it did what I required. There's a boost button if needed.
I haven't yet needed to empty the bin or clean the filter, so time will tell if it's a bugger like the original, which appears to require constant washing.
So far early days, but I'm impressed which is difficult for me. Not sure I would pay £250, if Vax are listening I could review one for professional purposes. Other than that, I'm sure the brilliant Roger will make a humorous review.
