Just to start out I love oreck. I know about the cleaning performance, motor size, noise, etc. I love them. I collect I do not clean houses. I just bought, so I think, the first oreck. I will rebuild it and post that when it is done. Any information, date, history.

That's very nice! I believe the very first Orecks were made by Whirlpool and were designed for use in hotels because they were so light and had decent suction. These pics are not mine, they are from an eBay auction.

CVR

I meant to call it the cvr. Is this one worth any money. What time is it from. Any history. I love that whirlpool by the way. How much was it going for.

The first ones were from the 60s. The Oreck that you have I think is from the late 60s or early 70s, it was one of the first to have the Oreck name

Sweet CVR Pics Austin!

That's the one i actually just bought.

These are great machines. Very fun! I've been after one since I was about 13. When Chad's came up on eBay, I could not pass it up. The form factor is very cool, lacks power, but it weighs absolutely nothing.
