I am not a Filter Queen expert, but I believe the wrinkle-finish model came first and then the chrome-plated one. I seem to recall someone telling me that. Either way, it IS old - one of the first models.

yes....and

When I purchased my chrome Filterqueen ( the above one) I was in contact with Health Mor regarding the actual age of th is vac.It is a 1939 model ;the very first model of F/Q. I was then offered immediately a new Filter Queen with all accessories, and I was also informed that this all chrome F/Q is rare. This one was only available to the top sales person of that year.It was not available to the public.Pretty interesting. Although I was tempted to take the offer, I am so gratefull for all the support from VCCC for encouraging me to keep this vac. Thanks to you all in Vacuumland.

Brad.

I was waiting....

Thanks Brad, I thought the brown model looked like yours and I knew we could count on you for accurate info! Can you tell me what year FQ added the power nozzle. I have a single speed 31 I believe, with a power nozzle and I thought that might be the first.

Rick
