I can't believe there are already two listings for the Avalir on eBay. Kirby sees them, I bet they won't be happy.

There was a "display model" that sold this morning for only $621. That must be very close to what dealers pay to get one direct from Cleveland.

There are some Sentria II listings for even less. The Kirby homepage still lists it as the current model. This must be hard on the dealers. I wonder how they still make money sometimes.

Early listings from a newly introduced model could be a salesman who decided they just didn't want to sell them, or as many, "buyer's remorse" after the sale. It usually doesn't take too long to see them pop up here and there. I've already seen the new Aerus Guardian Platinum on ebay a couple of times, one currently listed. Sentria II's are currently averaging 450.00 with everything on ebay. It's the people that paid upward of 1500.00+ and aren't happy that I feel sorry for, they will never get their money back, kind of like a car when you drive it off the lot.

a BARELY used Sentria II with brand new/un-used attachments, shampooer, manuals and original boxes for $415.00. I love it! The machine doesn't have one blemish on it! Not one speck of dirt to be found when I un-boxed it - not one scratch in the aluminum housing or floor nozzle. $415.00 totally beats $1500.00!

Many times

A new dealer is paid a bonus of a free machine. He/She may choose to sell it on ebay sans warranty and rebuild agreement rather than cannibalize his sales for the company, or he is no longer a dealer (which happens) and wanted to get the "bonus" he was promised.
