This is a thread, dedicated to Ruan, a collector from Virginia, in the Freestate, South-Africa. He loves this specific model shampoo polisher, as it was a story of his mom who owned one, and interchanged brushes with the neighbour who had the exact same model who did not have the scrubbing/polishing brushes, but the shampoo brushes. thus one set serviced booth machines. The one owner had a set of polishing brushes and the other owner the shampooing brushes. He told me this story about 2 years ago, and I found it very amusing.

As far as the dating of this machine goes, I have searched as to when this was made, since the date sticker, I assume, come off, and went missing.

From the search here on vacuum land, I have noticed that there was a brochure in Italian, that resemble the colour, tank size etc., on the F 4002, hence approximately 1977 ????

At a modest 160W, it is a great scrubber, polishing to a high gloss, is debatable. It was sold with 2 sets of brushes, one for shampooing carpets and another for scrubbing, polishing and waxing, where the latter has a soft row of bristles on the outside and a rigid thicker filling on the inside rows made of plastic. Pads are attached to the scrubbing brushes and then by the use of clips, kept in place. The clips are small round plastic rings with an approximation of 5cm diameter that clips and hold the pad in place onto the brush holder.

Being the first in this model the tank was standard and a stepping stone to the following model in maroon, that brought the super tank to the party.

Many households had these little machines, and they lasted for years.

My own mother had one, and I remember at the age of 3, I grew so attached to the machine that I even had it sleep on the bed with me instead of my teddy. Mashuga nut you shall think, yes from my first steps, I played and vacuumed instead of keeping myself occupied with toys.

When I went to kinder garden, if I did not take a vac along to school. I would use the one at school.
