You did a great job, love the elites, love the way you kept them shiny.
The photo that strikes me most, is the one of the Hoover Decade 80. Knowing that it originated there from the 80's, another hooded 652 system, I love the chrome handle, the streamlining lines and yet the appearance of gracious and majestically sturdy outlines. WOW that was a few big words in a little sentence. Just off the right of the decade 80, I see a maroon/ wine red hoover Shampoo Polisher probably F 4002 de Luxe. These were the first super tank version in the Hoover Range to make an entrance in the South-African Market, in late 1980. Everyone had one. These days, they have disappeared off the face of the earth, close to extinction, and for the life of me, I can not find one no where. Yeah they had a small wattage and was replaced by the Electrolux 5 in 1 in this side of the world in protocol to the Koblenz there by you. Dude, and you can have 1000 Hoovers in the post above, if it makes you happy, have another 200, who is counting, as long as we enjoy the nostalgia of the times gone by in an originally kept machine. Maybe I should not say this, but hence here goes. trembling in warm waters. Do people not realize how important it is to keep it original. Someone I know, has the tendency of redoing a machine, hence a perfect ly kept machine, from an attic, will be sprayed from red, to a shout out yellow, or even pitch black. WOW is this a collector? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA or fit a vintage machine with a motor with so many modifications. The best is a 3 brush polisher, that starts as soon as the plug hits the socket, the bag inflates forcefully yet the brushes slowly comes to life after and let me quote " the brushes have warmed up". I was in stitches for the least of a week. how far is this from original, why not stick a few fire stickers like with the ford mustangs etc., on the side, in that way the brushes will always be warmed up. Fitting a hoover with a Samsung hose and then what ever attachments fit, and bobs your uncle, jenny your aunt. I say this in the greatest of respect, and think that this approach cause an enormous sense of entertainment. Is this a category in its own, or am I being extremely judgemental, seeing things black or white, no grey areas in between. Thanks for keeping the legacy of original machines . Adrian Smith |
