Hey all! I recently bought a Premier Duplex upright off of eBay, and I was wondering how to install a bulb for the headlight. I'm pretty sure it has a headlight, anyways, it looks like there's a socket under the cowl on the front of the machine. How do I get to the socket so I can put in a light bulb? I would appreciate it if someone could help me out! I can post pictures tomorrow if needed. Thanks so much!

On either side of the fan case is this straight screw, slightly hidden. Remove these two screws and the headlight cowel slides forward giving you access to the headlight.

Thank you so much! I'm going to have to go try that now! So, when I have the screws out, how do I remove the cover?

I figured it out

The headlight cover is held in place by two screws underneath the nozzle, above the fan inlet. After some trial and error, I managed to install a bulb and got it working. I also installed a Dirt Devil Style 2 belt, which spins the brush like crazy, and now I have a formidable cleaning machine from the 40's. Love it!
