Can an all-electric Electrolux hose be converted to a pigtail hose? |

~ I have a very lovely later-replacement genuine Electrolux all-electric hose (see photo) that I'd like to convert to a pigtail hose so I can use it with older Electroluxes. Is this possible? If so, how difficult is it? I have a "donor" hose that I could use for the pigtail connection. If this is not possible, then might someone out there by any chance have a GRAY electric pigtail hose -- in comparable condition to my electric hose -- that they'd be interested in making a even trade for? The trade can either be a gray hose with dark gray tracing like the one you see, or it can be all gray. I'm not looking for pigtail hoses of any other color. Thx.......

I did exactly what you want to do. The only difference is that the hose end was the plastic type for the 6500, plastic machines. It was a lot of work not knowing what I was doing and not knowing how the hose ends were attached to the hose to start with. The pigtail connection I was using was for a Lux '89.
