I recently acquired a Westinghouse tank model T-53, kind of a cranberry color in excellent condition. I'm curious to know how many tank versions of these were there?
This is my first Westy to come into my collection. I know there are some Westy experts around and hope to hear from you! Thanks!

I dont know

How many versions of the tank cleaner WH made, butI do know their canister came out in 55,,but they made several tanks before this, I know of a blue one with a big chrome band around it, then several red ones, and a pink one the same color as the first canister.

Westinghouse tanks

Were the first late 30s from Universal??Later they had their own style with same body using different trim and handles. The handles followed'locomotive' styling trends.I have an early one I rediscovered this week and will list for sale.Westinghouse seems to have dropped all tanks when the canister(as above) was introduced and then added the small canister as well.

I believe there was a Westinghouse canister similar to that on an episode of "I Love Lucy" that was rebadged as the "the Handy Dandy Vacuum Cleaner" that she ended up trying to sell door to door lol
