The Dyson Arrived this afternoon, I was very surprised to see it arrived today as they only said it was shipped this morning.

I am very impressed with it so far, the 700w motor it has is very quiet and powerful, it seems a little flimsy when it comes to moving steering it when pivoting on the "ball" inverted commas as it is really two spherical wheels.
I also felt it did not twist and turn as easily as m mums new VAX Air Cordless lift, which I found bizarre.

The hose does not go all the way to the top of my standard UK flight of 13 stairs, I guess the DC41 possibly would, but there you go.

I am happy with the size of it, it is not too big and not too small, it is just right.

Here are a few photos of it, I have made an unboxing video of it, so stay tuned if you are interested, if you are, I would get some pop corn, it is almost 26 minutes long! video should be up by tomorrow, I will post a link when it is uploaded.

I wasn't going to unbox it on camera, but there was not any video at all of a DC40 unboxing, only 41's, so I decided to unbox it for your entertainment. :)

Alex.

Nice! I knew you would love or like it :) How many stars would you give it out of 10? Also what rank does this machine have in your collection? Like lets say your beloved turbo power is the first best
PS the ball is easy when its oushed and turned at the same time. The Vax does it easier cos its light

I shall await the inevitable agitation test video ;)

I do like it Tayyab, it is a nice cleaner, it seems to be "breaking in" now, easier to manoeuvre.

Chris, I couldn't believe it either, marked as shipped and delivered in the same day! Don't you worry, there will be an agitation video!

Alex.

I think it cleans very well, very good agitation, it is the best cleaning performance Dyson that I have ever used, it feels flimsy because the plastic is thinner in areas where it should be thick but it is not too bad but for the price Dyson ask for their machines, the machines should feel sturdier!

I would give it an 8 out of 10, so far. It is still not as good at picking up as a Turbopower.

Very nice vacuum, they are good vacuum cleaners despite some of the bs other say who haven't even used one. The balls do need to break in (lol) and then it becomes much easier to manoeuvre. I made the video of the DC41 rice agitation test. It seems dyson have gone form being among the poorest for agitation, to one of the best.

Is it weird that I found the brand new DC41 display model to be easy to move without the ball breaking in? Cos I did and it felt normal lol

Twisted, turned, pushed, pulled and glided and it was fine for me, or maybe it's cos I like hard/heavy vacs?

I like the DC40 but I have some mixed feelings(I gave it a 3 out of 5 on Amazon). It has great suction, and filtration. But has horrible agitation and can't groom my living room carpet. It also feels flimsy and the handle looks miss-aligned. But the one you have is probably better at agitation because of that switch on the front of it.
