This was on the Toledo, Ohio Craigslist for 20 bucks! Once I saw it had an original bag I couldn't pass it up! Its a 2 speed model and it runs marvelously! Here is a before and after pic.

Robert, Looks like you've got another bargain there. It looks even better now you've cleaned it up.

So Glad you got it! I saw that on Craigslist, but I was just too far and too short on funds.

Great find Robert! Reminds me of the Eureka 260 I grew up with.

Can we see the ratings plate on the bottom? What model number is that?

Most people don't realize that the name plate at the front of the cleaner comes off to reveal a hose port for above-the-floor cleaning. Now you just have to find the matching tool set and cardboard caddy!

Enjoy your new toy!

Those were

In my opinion, one of the best uprights ever made, the disturbulator brush roll has a lot to do with it...these will clean just as well as much newer machines using a lot more power!

Thank you! Maybe the "B" was for the chrome hood - ours was white and I think it was 260A.

Interesting how Eureka Williams may have used the decade of manufacture for upright model numbers: the 250's were in the 1950's, the 260's were in the 1960's and the famous Vanguard Cordaway was 2070 from 1970.....
