Ok I assume from all your replys you have no thoughts on this vacuum.

Anyway.

How does the Deodorizer on the royal everlast work??
Do you have to refill it??

If so how?
Nothing is said in the manual even thow it mentions it.

Any ideas?

James,

You will love the Royal Everlast!! Any of the Royals are simple in design, simple in use and clean very well. Just always remember that with Royal and Kirby, it is not always good to have the vacuum set in its lowest setting, you want to pay attention to the front of the your machine. Stop lowering the machine when you see the adjust-o-rite button move in. You want the machine to lift the carpet in order for it to clean properly.

I have never used the deoderizor, but I am sure you will have to change it perhaps weekly or monthly.

Have fun with you new vacuum!!!

Morgan

The deodorizer is located under the head light hood. they used to make a cartrige that would fit in it. They do work well. Hope you enjoy it.

Royal used to make deodorizer crystals for the deodorizer chamber on your Royal vacuum. It could also be used with moth crystals and the hose connected to the fan discharge in place of the bag for demothing clothes in closets.Again like as others say--You will really like your Everlast. If you use and like Kirbys-the Royal Everlast will be second nature to you.Years ago when I bought A Royal vac with the deodorizer chamber-a small sample bag of deodor crystals came with the machine-gave a pleseant smell when running the vacuum.they lasted about a couple weeks.I don't know if Royal still makes the deodorizer crystals anymore. You could experiment with crushed Oreck tablets, and deodorizer crystals and powders for other machines. It would also seem the gentle warmth of the vacs headlight would contribute to their effectiveness.I feel metal Royals are among the last holdouts of thclassic horizontal motored direct air vacuums other than Kirby.Long may they live!I have several Royals in my collection-really like them.Just hope their newer Chinese machines hold up well as the US made ones.

Glad to hear you got an Everlast. I agree with Morgan, you'll enjoy its ease of operation, durability, and power. Looking forward to the pictures.
As for the deodorizer, all you need to do is pull the tab to remove the lid from the chamber, fill with the deodorizing material of your choice, and snap it back on. The tab then slides back and forth to open or close the vents to the chamber.
You might want to try potpourri in the chamber, or you could soak up a couple cotton balls with deodorizing liquid and try them in the chamber. Whatever works best for you.
Enjoy,
Jeff
