Hit several Goodwills and ended up with a haul. Found an Oreck at one Goodwill for $13 then found another Oreck at another Goodwill for $10. Then at another Goodwill found an open package of the Odor Fighting Hypo-Allergenic hepa bags that have the charcoal embedded in the cloth for $3, it had 7 bags in the pack along with 2 packs of those Oreck scent tabs ( I hate those tabs )

Then on the way home stopped at the grocery store and ran into a friend who use to play for the Pittsburg Steelers and got to talk to him for a while.

Here's a picture of the Orecks after I cleaned them up.

I just love that model Oreck. The XL21 model may be a better performer but the standard charms me for some reason.
Sometimes you have to throw out performance and value metrics and just like something for no good reason. This vac is a case in point for me.

Those models have by far the most comfortable handles I've ever used. Those were great finds at fantastic prices. Congratulations.

Those were the models I sold in early and mid 2000's when I managed an Oreck store they were $399.99 with a canister and a cord free iron . My store sold hundreds a month they were our best sellers the middle of the line was the perfect choice .

I do love the comfort of the Oreck handle

You had a great find that day. The XL21 was one of the quieter Orecks I have used.

And I've already managed to sell them to a friend for his vacuum shop.
