My dc04 de stijl was a bit abused when I first picked her up. She's come a long long way. I let the previous owner know she's been restored and now only good for display purposes. |

I thought this forum was for the preservation of vacuum cleaners, not just blatant destruction as seen in the above video's?
I'm surprised that many people just throw away Numatic's, as they are easy to repair and parts are widely available.
There are a few images that would spring to mind as 'sad' vacuums, those that have been abandoned etc. I've seen an image of an abandoned warehouse with an Electrolux 502 machine in ti, and there are several images of the Hoover factory in Cambuslang once it closed. I believe the Cambuslang pictures are on Flickr. Even though the Cambuslang pictures are not of cleaners themselves, they are of the factory that produced great vacuum cleaners. |

A guy lit petrol in his garden and vacuumed the fire with his DC25 overdrive twice, it survived twice, so he got bored and set it on fire, smashed it up and took the motor out to burn it out. |

Actually appears to be a Royal. You can tell by the narrow rear adjustor, the side cooling vents, and the switch on the handle. |
