 It is not recommended to use any other brand of shampoo in your Kirby G series shampooer. The Kirby shampoo is a special dry foam type of shampoo. Other brands of shampoo tend to be too wet and will cause undesirable results mainly leaving your carpet too wet for the Kirby to extract it. It could also cause damage to the motor unit if any excess moisture gets inside. | ||

Don't use any other shampoo with your rug renovator. You'll wind up with a soapy, sudsy mess on your carpet. Put off your carpet cleaning until you can get some more Kirby shampoo. Joe | ||

the Hoover detergent is NOT carpet shampoo. It is meant to be used in a carpet washer which sucks up the liquid and dirt. | ||

Or U can use Resolve canned dry foam shampoo; just spray the foam onto the carpet & scrub with the Kirby Rug Renovator | ||
