i got a wards canned ham a few weeks ago and most vac sites have bags for eureka machines to fit either stlyes b & s, or s & m. depending on the vintage. i ordered eureka b&s style bags from ebay from envirocare technologies brand and the bag collar didnt seem to fit on my canned ham even in the vertical position. then a few days later, i got style S&M rubbermaid bags from the 80's at a thrift store and those fit just fine.
vacuum bag companies that make bags today "to fit style b &s", im starting to think with my experience style b bags really cant fit in canned hams even tho technically they SHOULD be interchangeable. any ideas? or was i putting the bag collar in incorrectly on the B&S style bags? |

Hey Will -
Here's an old chart from AVAC from the 70's. It looks like B, according to this chart, is not the right one. The S or M would be the correct one. Actually, more the M. Strange, eh?

The B Style bags are box-shaped bags designed to fit the later versions of the Sweet Sixteen 1600 series boxy canisters from the 1970's, not the canned ham style of the 1960's.
From the chart, it looks like you should not buy Style B bags. That being said, if you could post a pic of the vac and provide a model number, I'm sure we as a group could help figure out what you need. |

Also, Style S Bags are for the 1200 Series Power Team canisters. Some 1200 Series Eurekas had canisters from the Empress Two line-up with attachment knobs included in a Tool Pak on the top. Unless you have a vac that has an electrical outlet on the side of the body to power a power nozzle, don't order Style S bags.

also i know it takes style s, but was wondering how in the hell they couldve correlated style b & S bags when b bags dont fit at all. |

It looks like Style S bags can fit both canned ham Empress Two canisters (like yours) and the boxier Sweet Sixteen Ironside Quiet Kleen models. But the Style B bags can ONLY fit the boxier canister. Those who are long-time Eureka owners might be able to confirm this as I never personally owned an Empress Two or a Sweet Sixteen.
