One of my Elite's decided to die earlier today. Was vacuuming a rug by the back door and the motor started to slow down, grind, smoke, ETC before completely dying out....Here's what I found after inspecting the motor. Burned armature, unevenly worn carbon brushed, and broken field coil. It's not that bad of a loss, I have two other Elite's!

The green Hoover Tempo, not sure why they called it that though.....Its still an Elite! Hoover did some strange renaming in the 90's.
