This past weekend, I was judging a talent scholarship competition in King of Prussia. The hotel is right across the street from the infamous "King of Prussia Mall"... which is expanding again... 50 more stores.
I went to Nieman Marcus to see my friend, Ron Fascowicz! As always, was fuun to see him. On Sat he took me to lunch at Zodiac, their restaurant. THANKS, again, Ron. It's always great to talk vacuums w/ him. I was in a suit and tie, so people thought I worked there. I was asked to help a few customers, lolol. After Christmas, Ron and his partner will finally come up here to Pittston. We'll have the "post-Christmas mini meet" I visited him Fri, Sat, and Sunday, before I left for home. Impromptu meetings are great. |

at Villanova. We used to stay at The Holiday Inn. It is now a Crowne Plaza.I'm treated very well down there. My boss was a million dollar account there. That was years ago.
One of the GREAT things about her is that she never ever flaunted her influence there. She worked very hard for everything she has. She never had to brag about anything. Her character speaks for itself. I've been judging for her for 30 yrs now. I, like her, have worked very hard to have a stellar reputation in those circles. You meet lots of interesting, maybe eccentric people in the arts. She has a locked in contract there. Clearly, she was in the right place at the right time. Luck and skill, talent and grace. Hard to find. |

Story that just shows every one of us are different some can without a peep be wealthy and nobody would know it then there are those who are very proud of all the hard work they have accomplished in their lives and are truly grateful to have such a wonderful web site where we can proudly post our vacuum collections as this is what this web site was designed for . Just imagine if all we did was chat but never were able to see eachothers vacuums I don't think I would even belong to a site like that ;)
Thank you again Robert and Fred for this amazing vacuum land . Dan |

It was a dream vac "splurge' for him.
We all have those kinds of vacs. Perhaps he'll bring it along when he comes for a visit. "Show and Tell" can be fun, too. It is great to see everyone's vacuum collection. I really must coordinate mine and photograph them correctly. It's nice to bring out cleaners that haven't been used in a while. After Christmas, {Coming in Spring of 2015}, I'll organize all of the blenders, toasters, waffleirons, Oh my! and properly display and photograph them. Our collections are ever changing and it took so long for most of us to build them. It's great to finally have an item that took us a long time to locate. It's equally nice to know that some came from very dear people. Every time i use one like that, it makes me think of the person who gave it to me. I always say a little prayer for our dear 'Terry" whenever I see the beautiful 'coffee can' given to me by Charlie W. It gives me a chance to tell others about Terry. See.... they NEVER really leave us. I LOVE the Convertible 69. I have 5 of them. my aunt had one. It was the first time I saw Tufflex attachments, too. I knew THEN that I must have one. |

Sompe people have class.
Some people have good taste. Some people have humility. Some people have all. Some people, sadly, have none. And, we all know all of those people. And, if you're Ethel Murmann,. "Some people can get a thrill.................." If someone asks, "Who's Ethel Murmann?"............ hit me with a telescoping wand. |

As you have said, John "everyone needs a good 69". The 69 is Hoover at it's finest. Although, the U4003 is a close second. I'm sure you would agree. Beware there are other brands in this picture.
I really like your tilted Consellations too!

you are so right. I LOVE that putty colored Convertible. My cousin had the 1st one I ever saw. My mouth was agape when I first saw that hood design. Later, I learned to love it. I have 3 of them now. I truly believe HOOVER'S "finest hour" was : 1076, 69, 1070.......... well HOOVER had a very LONG "hour".

My Hoover 69 is probably my most favorite Hoover after my 150. I put the 4-brush strip brush roll on it and it is a cleaning machine. The balance of the machine and the handle is, to me, the far best of the convertibles.
I'll try to show mine tomorrow. But, just the number, "69", makes it tres fabu beyond words! C. This post was last edited 12/03/2014 at 22:59 |

I found the U4003 in the picture at an estate sale in Kansas City. No surprise. One of the ladies who was working the estate sale said if someone didn't buy it. Her sister wanted it so she could display it in her living room. The same house also had a Concept I. I agree John, Hoover did have a long hour! Just wanted to add Phillip Muller gave me my first U4003. I still have it!
