Hi Guys,

A couple weeks ago I pulled out the Platinum for a quick touch up (third use) which was subsequently involved in a crash that left me with a dent in the front cover of the machine. Happened to be playing with the German Shorthair when she came around flying around the corner in the kitchen and ran into the vacuum pinning the front cover up against a bar-stool leg already against the bar itself. Never a camera around when you need one-all four feet out in front, ears back skidding across the floor and then BANG. Then looks at me as if to say what did you do that for? LOL! Anyway, my Lux mechanic has had difficulty with the parts for the front cover assy. or the stainless trim for the front cover assy. I am guessing because it is so new. Since we seemed to be making zero progress on this I picked up the phone and called a friend at Lux in Dallas, phone rang an hour later, parts pulled off the shelf in Bristol before 5 P.M and left VA for Boston at 9 A.M the next morning. Really pleased to be making progress finally. I won't have it fixed until next week as the synthetic bags will be here until later in the week and will get everything all at once. I am not sure whether I will be changing the bag door itself or just the stainless trim since I have not seen the parts yet. One thing I will say for Lux is they provide very good service and a super warranty on their products compared to most others.

Brian
