Hi,

I see Lidl this Thursday 27th are selling this machine for £49.99. They claim it was reduced from £99.99. Lidl have never sold this machine. It is a clearance Model as on R.H Website. Any thoughts on this machine. It will be made in China a a cheap copy of Dyson

Well its £119 at Amazon UK - mixed reviews on that one (link provided). I remember when it appeared as RH were still selling the paper pleated cone behind a mesh model and replaced it with the black purple NLOS model shortly afterwards. Very similar in feel to the Hoover Alyx uprights and others. You get what you pay for with these vacs. Good if you compromise greatly on flimsy plastics.

The new Panasonic bagless models we have here. I have read some bad reviews on the Panasonic machines, but I think they're kinda neat.

End of the day its cheap NLOS filters and usually washable. You take your pick and you pays your money...Ive known those cheap Vax and Hoovers etc to last more than 5 years which is good going. It really depends on the abuse and use it gets, or complete owner ignorance on the state of washing filters, which not many owners tend to do because the vacs are so cheap to buy in the first place.
