Hi all. I've been given a Dyson DA001, it was my aunts, owned from new. She had the DA001 upstairs in her old house, and a DC14 Origin downstairs, but she's down-sized into a bungalow and has no need for 2 vacuum cleaners. Before she moved, I asked her to keep the DA001 for me if she were to get rid of it. Anyway, she moved a few months ago and I saw her soon after, but her daughter who lives literally 2 doors down was borrowing it at the time as her Vax had broken. Dads been up to help her put up pictures and do stuff she cant do, and brought back the DA001. It landed safe this evening.

So after getting it upstairs, cleaning soon began. Started with the bumper and worked my way up, replaced both filters, showered the bin and inner cyclone out, and now it sparkles! It dosent look bad on the camera prior to cleaning, but it was pretty dirty. Before she moved I was worried about stuff getting chipped and cracked, and loosing the origional black Dyson tools. Fortunatley, its all safe and secure. I'll post pictures one by one, as the computer dosent like the new image uploading system. Will post one now, possibly all of them tonight.

Chris.

Very Nice Dyson. I love the claim on the handle "The World's First Bagless Vacuum Cleaner". I guess the 10 million owners of Rainbow vacuum cleaners that feature no loss of suction, since 1936, don't count. In any event, it's a stunning example. Congrats.

The Fantom Thunder/Kenmore Desinty/Domestic was available before the DC01, let alone the Rainbow.
