Found this beauty on Etsy! All original, little to no hood warping, and it appears to have little/gentle use over its life. Here she is, the Hoover model 65 Convertible!

Thank you! I was shocked when I discovered it was an early one piece handle! Cannot believe it survived in such amazing condition!

that's a hell of a find and an amazing piece of hoover history. it looks "wedding gifted" ie. used once and shoved into a closet for 55 years.

Now, you MUST have a set of attachments.

I got your email. ALWAYS great to hear from you. I don't have an "extra" set of ORIGINAL, Ultraflex attachments. But, that's what you need. IF I had some, I'd send them on their way to you. You'll find them. A great cleaner, made HOOVER its fortune........ set the world on its ear. When only the very best will do. a HOOVER Convertible.
Because you need one.

That's the model my aunt had when I was growing up. Pink and beautiful !
My aunt was a cleaning fanatic. That Hoover was never put away. It was always sitting out in the hallway, even on holidays ! That's why I remember it so well.
Good luck on a great find.

my mum had the next incarnation [grey and white ]it lived in the hall permenantly plugged in ready for a quick whizz round if visitors turned up unexpectedly .it was 1962 and i was 6 i remember my dad unpacking and asembling it but the thing that sticks in my mind is the smell of that brand new cleaner coming out of its box .You know in the movie Titanic when the old Rose says its been xxxx years and i can still smell the fresh paint well 50 years later i can still smell a fresh Hoover 652A

I found an original set of attachments (minus the box) in BEAUTIFUL condition! They also appear to have been gently used! Just thought I'd post an update!

Having the attachments is a great feeling.  I was gifted a starter set from Fred S. & Robert S. earlier this year, and it was such an awesome gift to receive.  I did add some generic attachments to make it a bit more complete.
