I was browsing the want ads and came across this. I got this for $20. It runs smooth. It came with Sanitronic 7 bag that I'm washing gently at the moment so i put this on it just to see what it would look like. THe guy I got it from said that he had the rest of the parts to it and would give me a call when he found it. Hopefully he remembers. So besides the missing vacuum head it all seems there.

I need a few parts for it and don't know what these ones would take. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Preston,

That 510 has the polisher on it instead of the regular nozzle. If you find one, I would recommend getting the one used on models 513-515 (the one whose rug plate runs the entire width of the nozzle).

Perfect thank you! Do you have any advice in getting a bag? I've heard there are black ones you can get from kirby. How?

Thank you.

Is there anywhere to get a vacuum nozzle? Or does anyone have one they could let go?

Kirby Parts

There's a supporting member on this site who is a Kirby rep. His name is Bill and his username is a007Kirbyman, you can find his profile and email him on anything Kirby. He's a nice guy to deal with, and gives a us good prices on Kirby items. He's been in the business 30+ years, so he may even have an old head suitable, laying around.

As far as Kirbys go, he's one of the very best.

Preston,

The part number for the whole nozzle less brush - original - was #1400S (for brush roll with open ends).

But what I recommend is part #1403S (which has the rug plate that runs the whole width of the nozzle) because you can use the #500505 double-bristle brush roll.
