I managed to get one of these from the fabulous Tania Voight. Thank you Tania!! This Tradition will not be used and will remain in the box. I truly believe that every vacuum collector should have at least one vacuum brand new in the box.

Tania, are there any left? How can I get in touch?

I will be moving out of Canada soon (March 2015), most likely back to the USA. It may be easier to get one in the USA.

I sold the Tradition the summer of 1981

It is my all time favorite Kirbys, because it supported me well the first year of college at Western Illinois University-Macomb.

Those legs belong to my fiancé John.

I love getting NIB machines, however they will not remain NIB, I won't own a vacuum that I can't use. I do baby them and don't use them heavily like I would a regular vacuum. There's something so fun about being the first user of an old NIB vacuum!

@kirbyloverdan

Where are pics of your new in box Kirbys? It's been like a year since you started your infamous thread of your extensive collection. When are all of those new in box Kirbys going to surface on here?

Oh it was a joke, as in staying up all night waiting on a Kirby to arrive! Thus, drinking Coke for energy! Sorry if you misinterpreted the joke! wink
