I just picked up a mint Hoover 1060. Not a scratch on it. I just have one question, How does the height adjustment work on this?

Push the lever to high then push down on the back & it should click in. Then when you want it on normal push down & slide the lever.

Nice Find Preston!

The 1060 was the first square-hood headlight model if I'm not mistaken. Yours is beautiful--and all original! The height adjustment is for the biggest part spring loaded and automatic, but the lever does give you a high and low range to keep it from sinking down too far on thicker carpet.

Perfect. I'll have to try that tomorrow. I kinda don't want to use it. Its just too perfect! And I hate the C bags haha.

Was that ever used? The cord doesn't look like it's been unwrapped! Nice find!

Not from what I can tell. There is a bag in it. When I flip it over there isn't any lint or dirt in the brush roll

When did convertibles start getting top fill bags?

I love the looks of the C outer bag.

All of the plastic Convertibles went top fill. A lot of people convert the "C"pparatus to 'A'. Think, high performance motors, front tool conversion, top fill bags. It all happened together.

It's in such good shape I don't think I want to change it. I don't thing its been used much if at all. I'll take more pictures tonight and post em.

So after looking at it at texting the guy who I got it from I've come to the conclusion that this has never been used. He said his grandma bought it and it sat up stairs in the guest room. Check out the pictures below.

I want to turn it on but if its never been used I'm torn...

I wouldn't be able to keep myself from using it. Maybe turn it on once, and savor the sweet sound of Hoover power. laughing I'd use it as a daily driver, but I would baby it so it stays in good shape.

I tipped it back and let it run. The belt is so dry I took it out before and it just hummed... Such a sweet sound.

Congratulations you beat me to it by an hour. I'm glad it went to a good home. I was worried someone would beat it up as a commercial machine.
