Hello All,

I've got a Hoover 33 and I'm trying to lubricate the brush roll. I was able to remove the end cap on one side by unscrewing it and I do see where I can pack some grease in there but the other side has this funky little clip that doesn't seem to want to come off. How do I get the thing apart?

Thanks a million.
Brian

OK I got the clip off the one end. I still can't get the cap off that side, (the side that has the raised end which slides into the groove on the base). Does that just unscrew? It looks like the center portion should unscrew from the shaft but it's not wanting to do it.

Here's what to do!

Good to see you've removed one side! Use a mallet and a screwdriver to bang the metal rod in the middle of the brush out.the other side will come with it! They're connected, pulling out the bar will allow for lubrication! wink

No problem, anything to keep a good old HOOVER soldiering on in the line of grime-kicking action! wink
