I'm getting a 3d printer next month. I'm able to reproduce anything 2x2x2, as long as it's made out of plastic. What kind of old NLA parts are you guys dying to have? Cuz I bet I could make them of similar if not better than original quality

How about red, black, and gray wheels? There are currently no red or gray reproductions, and the black ones are nothing like the originals that had the kirby name on them. I'd pay good money for those!

Welcome to the world of spraypaint, Victor guy! Match yourself a can of paint, many BEAUTIFUL Kirby restorations on this site are thanks to compressed paint!

Me, too. . . I wish Kirby would go back to making wheels by trim color.

Here they are:
131969 - brown front wheel (model 1CR)
132056 - gray wheel (models 516 to 561)
132062 - tan wheel (models 562 to D50)
132067 - green wheel (model D80)
132069 - brown rear wheel (model 1CR)

The current black plastic narrow wheels I see, those were actually first used on the American-Lincoln Super-Sweep starting from the mid 1970s until being replaced in 1982-83 by the nearly-identical Super-Vac 180, which used the same four black wheels as the Heritage II.

is the 2x2x2 inches or feet? better clarify before people start requesting headlight lenses and hoods for convertibles and NLA attachments.

Yes, I've used SEM paint before, but wouldn't a solid red wheel that doesn't wear through to black or brown be WONDERFUL? laughing

Apparently I was half awake when I posted that, I meant gray, not red! Oh well, you get the idea...

One thing to consider, I assume you've got a Makerbot or equivalent, the plastic can be kinda soft and flexy. Its not like the large machines that use the powder thats laser melted together. At least this applies to the things I've seen them print. They do make a good variety of color options for the filament though. Someday I'd like to get one of the full sized ones that they use for rapid-prototyping to be able to reproduce larger parts. One of my many dreams is to eventually put together a small machine shop including the 3D printer, as well as metal working machines and armature winding stuff too, and rebristling would be a good one too. I've mentioned this before, that Id love to be able to recreate NLA parts for myself and other collectors, its not a business venture I'd expect to make money on, its more of a labor of love.
