Where did Kirby get the name Sentria from? What does it even mean?

The older series of models (from Sanitronic to Generation series) sound more logical to me.

Sanitronic sounds logical (it means what it says--a sanitation system).

The Classic series (Classic, Classic Omega, Classic III, Tradition, Heritage, Heritage II, Heritage II Legend, and Legend II) tend to evoke (to me at least) a sense of looking back on history, tradition, heritage, etc.

The Generation series names sound logical to me too (evoking a new generation of models).

However, the Sentria name stumps me. What does "Sentria" mean? Why the name?

And how will Kirby come up with the name for its rumoured new model? Is there a name for it established yet?

It comes from Sent us who was the Roman god of shifty sales people.

LOL, you sure you don't mean Sentrius, the ancient house-keeper warrior? He commanded 5,000 men in his day, all equipped with brooms! laughing

No such word in dictionary...

It appears that the word "sentria" does not exist in the Oxford English Dictionary (or any other dictionary I've tried online), nor does it exist in Wikipedia (outside of the Kirby Company entry).

The only non-Kirby mention of "sentria" is someone's name on LinkedIn.

So is this a name Kirby made up?

What if "Sentria" is a spin-off of "Century"? The Sentira was the first "new" model of the 21st century, after all.

Mark, Kirby-Kurling is a sport favorite down here at KSSRC! This week it's the Sanitronics VS. the Generations! laughing

It's a derivative of Santeria, a religious cult known for sacrificing Dysons upon the alter of poor quality. After which, they consume its wretched remains with flames, and its putrid stink ascends to the 2nd heaven, thus frightening away all demons and warding off evil spirits.laughing
