This one is Cen-Tec branded but it's the same as what Kenmore sold for many years. What interests me are the two images of the brush roll. You can see it is an old style Beater Bar brush roll, but the bristle strips are not original. Sears long ago stopped carrying replacement bristle strips for these, forcing you to buy the newer brush roll with chevron pattern bristles and no beater bar. Replacement beater bars are still available however.
Would anyone here have any idea what brush strips this Powermate is using? It would be nice to be able to rebuild the old Beater Bar brush rolls with new bristle strips. Right now I have one daily driver Powermate with a new style brush. I don't use the ones with Beater Bar brushes because I don't want to wear them out. I prefer the Beater Bar for how it cleans. If I could figure out a source of replacement bristle strips I could use the old Beater Bar Powermates for a change.
