Anyone see the new Panasonic Jet Force canister with the flip up shutter power nozzle? |

It's the same vacuum as the new Kenmore bagless canister, without the good power nozzle. I see several problems with the 'new' Panasonic power nozzle. On frieze or the new "smart strand' carpet, those soft brushes will bog down. The width of the nozzle is much narrower, meaning it will take longer to clean (as opposed to the traditional Panasonic/Kenmore nozzle that's 15 inches wide and has a height adjustment). The wand will not stand upright by itself, as the power nozzle has no locking feature. You have to dock it on the back of the canister - very inconvenient.
I've owned the Kenmore version of this vacuum for about a year now. I like it and have had no problems with it. The hose is somewhat shorter than I care for. It's also hard to pull the machine. There is no bare floor tool. On my Kenmore version, it came with an Electric Mini Power Head for furniture, which works great. This Panasonic does not. The machine does have a very small capacity - even in my rather small duplex, I have to empty the machine several times per cleaning. |

Maybe the Power Team Perfect C101 would fill the bill for you? It is certainly an interesting machine. Made in Mexico I think? Dysonman, is that true? |

The Perfect is made in China, even though their logo has the American Flag on it. The AMP (Max) rating for a vacuum cleaner is with the motor jammed. A vacuum never pulls the rated amps if the motor isn't jammed with a screwdriver. The Amp rating on a rating plate is the MAX amps. It never operates at MAX amps normally.
